چکیده

Cotton (Gossypium hirsutism L.) is a primary source of natural fiber, fuel, wood, and oil worldwide an essential raw material for the textile industry. Whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) one major pests distributed has broad genetic diversity. In this research, diversity in cotton germplasm was explored against whitefly infestation. Broad sense heritability common approach used to detect association inheritance target trait. Maximum (PIC 0.96) minimum 0.36) polymorphism by SSR primer NAU 988 5121, respectively, with average value 0.73. Pair-wise estimation ranged from 0.500 1.00. Neighbor-joining (NJ) tree, based on UPGMA (Unweighted pair group method arithmetic), grouped genotypes into six main clusters, i.e., A, B, C, D, E, F. accessions fall single cluster showing low among them. The upland FH 326, SLH 07, FH18, Cris 541, showed divergence rest might have resistance attack. Our results also explain utilization markers explore its breeding program.

Evaluation of Traits and Genetic Diversity of Sugar Beet O-Type Lines for Rhizomania Tolerance using SSR Molecular Marker

Extended Abstract Introduction and Objective: Sugar beet is one of the most important agricultural products in the world and most of the sugar consumed in our country is prepared from this plant. Plant breeding programs are based on creating variety and selection of quantitative and qualitative traits. Examining genetic diversity is the first step in breeding programs. Material and Methods: I...

Evaluation of Drought-Tolerance Strategies in Cotton

Research made possible through the use of the wealth of genomic information and genetic resources available for model plant species such as Arabidopsis thaliana has led to a substantial increase in our knowledge about how plants respond to stressful environmental conditions. This leap in understanding provides the basis for many new strategies for optimization of stress tolerance in crop plants...

Tolerance of Selected Cotton Lines to Rotylenchulus reniformis.

The reproductive and damage potential of the reniform nematode, Rotylenchulus reniformis, on five cotton breeding lines reported as tolerant to this nematode in Texas were compared with two standard cotton cultivars, Deltapine 50 and Stoneville LA 887, in a North Carolina field naturally infested with R. reniformis. Numbers of R. reniformis in soil were suppressed at mid-season, and cotton-lint...
